Street Lights Out?
If your street lights are out, we can help! Email us at the Neighborhood Watch email address and provide us the nearest street address of the light. Wait for a reply from us that will include the report number. If you wish to address this yourself, you may call 1800-POWERON or fill out the
Outdoor Lighting Repair Form . Please allow a minimum of 3 business days for the repair.
Community Safety
The effectiveness of a law enforcement department's
crime prevention efforts is enhanced by active participation on the part
of the residents in our Neigborhood. By calling to report suspicious persons or activity, you
not only aid law enforcement but you also make our Community a safer place
to live.
Some people fail to call simply because they are not aware of activities
that might be suspicious. Others may notice suspicious activity and hesitate
to call for fear of being labeled a "nosy neighbor" or a "crank."
Still others take it for granted that someone else has already called.
Call 911 immediately when you observe suspicious activity.
Do Not worry about "bothering" the Police. Do
Not worry about being embarrassed if your suspicions prove unfounded.
Think instead about what could happen if you do not act.
Please use the Suspicious Crime / Activity Report which is always located in our Neighborhood Watch section of our website.
N.C. Law Passed To Better Spell Out What Homeowner Associations Can Do To Enforce Neighborhood Rules
In the Saturday, August 27, 2005 edition of the Charlotte Observer, writer Allen Norwood reports on the new law and its impact on NC Homeowner Associations. The article is located on Page 1H or you can find it here on their website. The act to amend the laws governing Homeowner Associations (NC Planned Community Act) to provide greater protections for homeowners can be read by going to the NC General Assembly website and searching for HB1541.
Please also take this opportunity to refresh yourself with our Governing Documents. Their links are conveniently located on the Menu.
